Kilkenny hero Henry Shefflin will return to the county fold in a senior hurling challenge match against Waterford on Sunday night.
Shefflin, who hasn’t featured for manager Brian Coady since last September’s All-Ireland final victory over Tipperary, will get game-time against the Deise in Mooncoin this weekend.
Coady gave the Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman an extended break from the county panel before the quest for a five-in-a-row All-Ireland title gets underway.
Shefflin will be back in full training next week.
