Late last night it was revealed that the singer and Hollywood actress Whitney Houston, died at the age of only 48.
For many people, Whitney was their favourite singer. For others, she was their favourite actress. But there’s one thing that can’t be denied, the fact that she truly was a class act.
The cause of Whitney’s death has been shrouded with uncertainty, as police failed to tell the press what the exact cause of her death was.
Whitney was found lifeless in her hotel room on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton in the early hours of this morning. The singer was an image of wholesome entertainment during the early years of her career. However, things went sour during the 80’s and 90’s when she began relations with ‘bad-boy’ rap artist Bobby Brown.
Brown led Whitney down a bad path and the power-ballad singer began taking drugs and becoming unreliable; cancelling shows, pulling out of tours, being late for gigs all became normal routine for the troubled star.
Recent reports of the star’s wellbeing suggested that she was fairly sick and that she had been for some time.
Whitney was scheduled to preform at the pre-Grammy party of Clive Davis, however, hours before the party began a family member found her in her hotel room.
