You may be shocked to hear that our aviation friends in France are downing their little red ping-pong bats, as workers vote for four days of strike action.

Are you planning on flying over to Paris before the big day? That day being Ireland’s match against France in the rugby, but of course. Maybe your missus keeps your family jewels in her handbag and your heading over to the City of Love for Valentines Day?

Either way you might be affected by the four-day strike, which is due to start on Monday. The unions are protesting a draft law that will require individual aviation workers to give 48 hours notice before taking strike action.

Striking over your rights to strike? That’s France for you.

We’re not too sure how much disruption there will be to Irish people flying into France, as the unions have not provided much detail about what exactly they plan to do.

However, passengers flying with Air France during February 6-9 can reschedule their flights without charge.
