Swearing tops the list of hardest habits to break

Do you have a f***ing problem with how much some people swear? Well, it’s not all their fault as it’s apparently the hardest habit to break.

You might find it hard to believe but a new survey claims that it’s more difficult to stop swearing than it is to give up coffee or cigarettes reports the Irish Daily Mail.

If you were to jump the gun and assume that this is just some big cigarette company’s latest marketing ploy then you’d be wrong. That’s because EcigaretteDirect.co.uk, who isn’t a large multinational cigarette company at all, conducted the survey…

Well anyway, according to the survey, which looked at more than 600 people, more than a quarter said cursing was the worst habit they couldn’t break.

Drinking too much coffee came in second at 18 per cent, third was biting fingernails at 15 per cent while fourth was watching too much TV with 13 per cent of respondents saying that they couldn’t give up the telly box for love nor money. What about the cigs?

A spokesman for EcigaretteDirect.co.uk said, “it is interesting to see that the majority believe swearing is the hardest gripe to get rid of. For better or for worse, swearing has become more socially acceptable than it was 30 years ago, therefore it is no wonder that more and more people are finding it increasing difficult to stop.”
