According to an article in the most recent edition of New Scientist, the most perplexing mystery to renowned professor Stephen Hawking is… women.
Now, we know Stephen Hawking knows a thing or two about, well, everything, but according to a recent interview in New Scientist Magazine women are still a complete mystery to him. In fairness, he’s not alone on that one.
The “Brief History of Time” author was talking to the magazine in the run up celebrations for his 70th birthday, during which he divulged on his hopes for modern science, the biggest blunder of his career and what he thinks about most during the day.
When answering the question on what he thought about most during the day he replied: “Women. They are a complete mystery.” If Stephen Hawking doesn’t have a clue about women, what hope is there for the rest of us?
Hawking is due to celebrate his 70th birthday on Sunday with a public symposium entitled “The State of the Universe” at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Theoretical Cosmology.
In case you’re wondering the biggest blunder in his scientific career was thinking that black holes swallow and destroy ‘information’.
Apparently, they don’t.
