Are you getting excited for the new Adelaide Masters Series season? Well you should because it’s less than two weeks away.
The new Adelaide Masters Series season gets under way in less than two weeks time (that’s Saturday and Sunday April 21 and 22) and this year it has the continued backing of Motorcycle Insurance Specialists ‘Adelaide Insurance’. It’s also got the best line-up of its short history, so that’s something too.
The series will expand to five events this season with a round at Bishopscourt in Co. Down added to the four Mondello Park events, so there’s even more biking this year. The expansion of the calendar has led to an increasing number of teams and riders committing to the series.
One of the biggest boosts for the series has been the announcement by JMF Millsport that they will bring their full team to all of the Adelaide Masters events and they will have former British Junior Superstock champion Lee Johnston on board their brand new Ducati 1199 Panigale.
Among the other notable riders returning to the series is Waterford’s Brian McCormack who is looking forward to a strong season following some excellent pre season testing. Athlone’s Cody Nally has also committed to tackling a full Masters campaign for the first time, so there will be a few Irish faces knocking about.
The feature races will take place between 14:00 and 16:30 culminating in the non-championship Grand Final where the top riders from Superbike and Supersport will compete for an increased prize fund.
