Tipperary 3-24 – 0-19 Wexford
Tipperary got their season back on track with a comfortable 14 point win over Wexford in the first round of the hurling qualifiers on Saturday afternoon.
Two goals in a minute from Lar Corbett at the beginning of the second half were the key to victory for a Tipperary side that looked a lot sharper than in the defeat to Cork in the Munster Championship earlier this year.
Tipperary, who were eight points ahead at the break, were best served by championship debutant David Young, who scored three points from wing back, Conor O’Mahony, goalscorer Corbett and Eoin Kelly.
