A staggering 100,000 Ulster Bank customers may still be affected by a technical fault at the bank, which has left many pockets dry since Wednesday.

Have you recently gone to the ATM only for it to spit dust at you? If so there may be two explanations as to why it might have happened. Firstly, you could be with Ulster Bank who have been experiencing a technical glitch with their systems since Wednesday, or you simply don’t have a bean to your name – we know which one applies to most of you…

Anyway, the glitch has left up to 100,000 people without their monthly salary and/or their social welfare payments, so don’t be surprised if you see an angry mob of pyjama wearing ladies waving fiery torches and ranting that their skint.

But don’t worry if you have a mortgage as the bank says that payments will have been debited, even if customers’ account histories indicate otherwise.

The bank is opening 80 branches until 7pm tonight to help out any customers who may still be affected by the glitch, according to the Irish Independent.

But wait, there’s a silver lining to this dirty cloud, as RBS Group, who owns Ulster Bank, said they would compensate anyone who loses out as a result of the problem.

Well that doesn’t seem too bad, unless you owe your bookie…
