Manchester United have drawn Rangers in today’s Champions League draw, while Chelsea will play host to French champions Marseilles in this year’s premier European competition.
In a much drawn-out UEFA ceremony, Arsenal were drawn against former striker Eduardo’s Shakhtar Donetsk, while AC Milan and Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid were drawn alongside one another for the second consecutive year.
Tottenham Hotspur also face a tough challenge for their first Champions League campaign, as they drew reigning champions Inter Milan, Werder Bremen, and Dutch champions FC Twente in this year’s undisputed ‘Group of Death’.
Inter had much to celebrate during today’s ceremony, as club stars Julio Cesar, Maicon, Wesley Sneijder and Diego Milito helped celebrate a clean sweep for the the side, winning European Club Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder and Forward of the Year. Diego Milito was also named European Club Footballer of the Year.
