Celtic legend Shunsuke Nakamura proved that he has still got it with a sumptuous dead-ball strike in that most pressurised of environments, the Japanese game show.
Nobody places quite as much importance on their game shows as the Japanese, but rather than having to experience torture and humiliation as so many of his compatriots did on the incomparable Takeshi’s Castle, Nakamura was given the chance to do what he does best and remind football fans of his dead ball expertise.
Rather than the top corner, the target in this case was the open window of a moving bus and although it took him a few attempts, he eventually nailed it with a trademark left-footed strike.
The tension is evident throughout and perhaps the most amusing part of the clip is the two ‘experts’ accompanying Nakamura, who provide him with condescending bits of information such as ‘You’re timing was off’ and a ‘a little higher next time’. As if he didn’t already know!
If you want to go straight to the successful attempt, skip ahead to around 7:55 in the video above, but the rest of it makes for pretty entertaining viewing, especially if you’re a nostalgic Hoops fan looking for a reminder of Shunsuke’s glory days in the green and white.
