Luis Suarez is flexing his acting muscles…but this time for an actual acting role.
Luis Suárez is the star of Pepsi’s new ad campaign in Uruguay, which is called ‘Rock & Gol’, and is clearly based around the relationship between rock and football (you know, similar to the one between tennis and rabbits) and features the Liverpool striker as a rock star. Winners will get a chance to meet Suárez, or a chance to see their favourite band in any location around the world they choose. It’s only valid for Uruguay though, before you go looking.
He’s not exactly the most convincing when it comes to miming, but we’d still pay to see ‘An Evening with Luis’, where we imagine Suárez would dazzle with his vocal talents, and give us all a touching rendition of Def Leppard’s ‘Love Bites’.
To be fair, the ‘Born to be Wild’ tune that Suarez mimes to be playing is fairly apt for the newly-crowned PFA Player of the Year, but we still think this particular effort from the last time he flexed his acting muscles is still his best work to date.
