Luis Suárez is in absolutely scintillating form at the moment with a whopping 17 goals in his last 11 league appearances and that’s in spite of being suspended for the first six games of the season.

As pundits and his playing peers continue to sing his praises, fans are also getting in on the act as one YouTuber compiled this excellent collection of all of his goals so far this season and, at last night’s William Hill Football Supporters’ Federation Awards, the Liverpool frontman took home the coveted Player Of The Year Award.

After all of the criticism the unplayable player has received over the past year in particular, he was the very picture of humility as he accepted his award at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium last night (don’t get too excited Gooners), after more than 500,000 fans had voted in the competition, naming Suárez best player ahead of fellow footballers Robin van Persie, Leighton Baines, Christian Benteke, Juan Mata and Pablo Zabaleta.

Here is his very humble acceptance interview where he discusses Liverpool’s title chances, next year’s World Cup in Brazil and describes coming back to play at Anfield the highlight of his year.
