A little dog over in the UK became stranded out at sea when the tide began to rise around him, but luckily a paddle boarder came across the mini pooch and was able to save it.

Water sports instructor Charlie Head, 33, spotted the little shih tzu, called Bam-Bam out in the open water near Kent in the UK. Charlie was just out with his paddle board and GoPro camera training for a 3000km paddle across the Atlantic when he spotted little Bam-Bam who looked seriously stressed.

“I was gobsmacked. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought there is no chance it could have got there on its own and the tide was coming in,” he said.

“He was absolutely terrified. I managed to get him onto my paddle board and bring him ashore.

“He would definitely have drowned as there was no way to get back and the tide was coming in.

“We were calling him Pebbles until the dog warden found out his real name. He was shaking all over. If they can’t trace the owner I am going to keep him. Poor Bam-Bam.”
