Have you ever had something stolen on you? If so, then you’re sure to love this clip of a guy in the US tracking down and getting revenge on the thief who stole his iPhone.
When Kenneth Schmidgall’s iPhone went missing, he probably didn’t think he’d get it back so quick – or with such force. Schmidgall, from San Diego, lives with his roommate, Greg Torkelson, a freelance news photographer, and the pair managed to catch the moment they found the filthy thief on camera.
According to reports in the Huffington Post, Schmidgall, a 26-year-old construction worker, had lost the phone while attending a reggae concert on Dec. 28.
“I went to put some stuff in Greg’s car and I think I set the phone on the sidewalk and it was taken,” he said. That’s when he cracked out the Find My iPhone app.
“I saw it stationary at a bike shop in Encinitas, but then it started moving around, and I got the idea that whoever had it was trying to sell it near the beach,” he said.
The two lads eventually found the 30-something year-old thief who had the iPhone, but he managed to evade them on three different occasions before being finally cornered on a beach.
Schmidgall then managed to take the crook down to the ground with force and an off-duty police officer stepped in to lend a hand until backup arrived.
Justice was certainly served.
