When a rally car hits a telephone pole or a tree there’s usually only one outcome – and it isn’t pretty. However, this Audi Quattro managed to chop a pole right in two.
While racing in the Jänner Rallye in Austria this Audi Quattro slid a little bit too much off course and ended up smashing straight into a large pole. Instead of the car wrapping around the pole, like we’ve seen all too often in rally, the pole splits in two and the Audi just keeps on going.
We’re sure the driver and co-driver, Klausner and Söllner, had clenched arses going into the corner, but it just goes to show how strong they used to make the old Quattro.
