Sometimes, all you need is a little extra push from your coach in order to win the game. However, this Russian coach took helping his team out to an all-new level.
Coaches are forever getting involved in the game, and it’s not uncommon to see them getting sent to the stands for getting a little too involved (remember Arsene Wenger getting sent off at Old Trafford?). Well, here we have a coach who literally got involved in the game, after he made an assist for his team.
In the video we see Unics Kazan’s coach Gundars Vetra firing off a ball to one of his players after the ball was inadvertently thrown to him. Judging by his cat-like reactions, he must have been an ex-player himself.
Sadly, the 3-point basket didn’t count, and the player who threw Vetra the ball instantly realised his mistake, but at that stage it was too late. In fairness to the poor chap, it’s a situation we’d all dread to be in (because it would result in a hilarious video like this).
