Two Norwegian citizens have the quick thinking of a police crew to thank after a helicopter blew the couple’s stranded boat back to shore using the wind generated by the rotors. Now that’s Scandinavian efficiency…
June Kristiansen from Auli and Michael Walton from Raelingen, Norway, had a brush with death yesterday when the engine on their small boat died while out on the water, sending them drifting towards a dam.
Knowing that swimming to shore would be a bad idea, due to the strong under currents, the couple called the cops for assistance. So the police sent out a chopper to locate the couple and decided that blowing them back to shore might work.
Thankfully for all involved, the rotor trick worked a treat. So if you’re ever stuck on a boat in the middle of a lake or if you’re just about to fall over a waterfall, make sure to call someone with a chopper…
