Jeff Stelling and the boys on Soccer Saturday were moved to ‘get up’ and go a bit crazy after a man called James Brown scored for Hartlepool yesterday.
Stelling is a massive fan of the Monkey Hangers and has celebrated nearly every Brown strike live on the show along with the assembled pundits by producing a James Brown doll singing ‘I Got You (I Feel Good)’ and losing the run of himself for a couple of minutes.
It had been a while since Stelling had had a chance to produce the doll but when the man who shares a name with the late Godfather of Soul struck against Rochdale yesterday, it was a cause for celebration amongst the Soccer Saturday crew.
Hard to watch if you’re a Rochdale fan maybe, but entertaining viewing for everyone else.
