Video: Super Swans stun Gunners

Swansea 3-2 Arsenal

Thierry Henry was the toast of Arsenal fans in the week, but he could do little to stop a super Swansea side from earning a magnificent victory over Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium.

The Frenchman was sprung from the bench in the second half against the Swans, but it was Danny Graham who stole the headlines.

The Swansea frontman netted the winner midway through the second half with an excellent finish (see below), although his goal was subsequently spoiled by one of those ridiculous dancing celebrations that are a cursed blight on the game of football.

Robin van Persie put Arsenal in front with his lesser heralded right-foot after five minutes, a goal that was cancelled out by Scott Sinclair’s penalty ten minutes later, although Arsenal will feel hard done by at what was a softly-awarded spot-kick.

Nathan Dyer put the hosts in front twelve minutes into the second half, but when Theo Walcott levelled for Arsenal with a little over 20 minutes left, the stage seemed set for Arsenal and Henry to make a name for themselves once again.

Danny Graham had other ideas and slotted the winner almost immediately after Walcott’s strike, and the promoted side held on for a brilliant and thoroughly deserved win.

Still no excuse for Graham’s celebration though.
