The latest trailer for hit show How I Met Your Mother shows that they’re not afraid to poke a bit of fun at themselves
If you’ve been following the show, you’ll know that when they started off, they had a pretty cool narrative device whereby the kids sat on the couch and listened to their Dad recount a romantic story of how he met their mother.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, we suppose), the show was pretty successful and they’ve been running for eight seasons. As a result, the kids have been stuck on the couch for eight years, and, as is the trouble with the passage of time, they’ve grown up.
In this funny trailer for the new season, the kids have had enough of listening to the stories about “an endless parade of sluts” that their Dad “banged”, they’ve not left the room for years and have been using a bucket as a toilet, and the son is having in appropriate thoughts about the sister since she’s the only girl he’s seen in eight years.
