With the use of some sort of motoring wizardry, this massive truck manages to stop at the same rate as your average car.
When it comes to building vehicles safety is a major part of the manufacturing process (unless it’s a TVR, as they remove the front airbags in it’s cars because they believe it will make you drive safer).
So it’s pretty cool to see that someone somewhere (most likely Germany) was able to come up with a way to stop a massive truck in the same amount of space as your average car.
In the video, the truck is doing roughly 80km/h when it slams on the brakes. Generally, trucks of this size need 40 per cent longer to come to rest compared to your average car, but this beast can do it with just 35 meters of space.
In fairness, that’s trucking impressive.
