Here we have a video from the mecca of motor racing, the Nordschleife at the Nurburgring, showing us an SUV driver taking a pretty hefty spill.
Now, be warned, when we say ‘a fairly hefty spill’ we mean that it’s a massive crash and it’s a miracle that neither the driver nor the passenger were killed.
Moments before the crash happens a track steward moves the spectators back from the railing, as if her womanly intuition knew exactly what was going to go down before it did.
The Honda CRV driver takes the corner too fast and wide and as he tries to correct the car he pushes it too far. At this point it’s too late as the SUV gains momentum and spins out into a violent flip. The car flips five times before coming to rest on the wrong side of the crash barrier.
As you can clearly see from the video, the SUV doesn’t look like much more than a pile of scrap metal once it comes to rest.
It just goes to show how things can go horribly, horribly wrong if you don’t know the limits of your car.
