Mirrors are put on vehicles for one main reason, that being the little fact that you don’t have eyes in the back of your head. Sadly for this Taiwanese guy riding a moped through Taipei, he forgot this simple fact and decided to wildly swing out across two lanes of traffic without looking… then the inevitable happens.
A large yellow tow truck comes barrelling up the outside lane and ploughs right into the unobservant moped rider. Luckily he was wearing a helmet at the time and he can be seen getting up onto his knees before the video cuts, so at least we know he wasn’t too badly hurt.
So the next time your driving around the capital of Taiwan, or absolutely anywhere else on the planet for that matter, make sure to use your wing-mirrors.
