During testing for the American Le Mans Series at Road Atlanta Nissan’s hi-tech Delta Wing was hit into causing it to flip. Neither of the drivers involved were too pleased afterwards.
On Wednesday, Nissan’s tricycle-like Delta Wing was getting ready for the American Le Mans Series at Road Atlanta, testing it’s aerodynamics and the likes. However, because of the shape of the Delta Wing – narrow in the front and painted in matte black – it’s a little hard to see in rear view mirrors, especially when you’re doing the speeds these guys do.
That’s why the Green Hornet Racing Porsche in the video above slams into the Delta Wing just as it was about to pass on the right. You can clearly see the Delta Wing’s driver Gunnar Jeanette venting his anger after the crash and rightly so as his helmet can be seen scraping off the ground.
The Porsche driver was a little p*ssed off too, as you can see from the image below.
