If you’re looking to give your wallet a bit of a spring cleaning then you could move in next door to JOE for €1 million or into a 14 house ghost estate for €50,000. Your choice.
If you’re in the market for a flash gaff then you might want to head along to the Allsop Space auction next month where a total of 90 properties will be up for sale.
There are a few interesting properties on sale in the auction including a 14 house ghost estate for €50,000, Whites Castle in Athy, Co Kildare, which is also up for €50,000 and the building neighbouring JOE Towers, 26 Merrion Square (the yellow door above), is going under the hammer for a cool €1 million.
The auctioneers are hoping that the auction will raise around €8m, which would be €5m below the €13m they achieved from the last auction in May. But then again, there are fewer lots this time and some of the commercial properties are less valuable, according to the Irish Independent.
If you’re thinking that buying your own estate for €50,000 is a great idea then be careful, as the houses vary in size and at present they’re only shells as they haven’t been fitted out inside – so there’s still a heck of a lot of work left to do.
As for the Georgian house, you’ll have to put up with us as neighbours.
