This week’s website to waste time is the aptly named Pictures of Walls. It features pictures of walls – funny walls, that is.
Okay, so we will admit that the name of the website leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s actually quite a good site to waste some time. It features walls, doors and other parts of the urban landscape that have in some way, shape or form, been vandalised.
However, the great part about this website is that it doesn’t feature stupid graffiti tags from some wannabe gangster, instead it features insightful quips, meaningful thought and witty observations which you might expect from a wannabe Banksy.
The site features some excellent pieces and – we will admit – some fairly sh*te ones too, but thankfully the ratio weighs up in favour of the funny/insightful ones. There’s everything from a plank of wood with ‘I miss being a tree’ graffitied onto it, to a boarded up door with “Think of this as a window” scrawled across it.

As we said, there’s more to Pictures of Walls than just pictures of walls. Below we have one of the more ‘vandalised’ pieces that shows a Will Smith movie advert plastered on a bus stop after it received a bit of attention from one of Will’s critics… one of Will’s more honest critics, that is.
Not so much for Will…
It’s a fantastic website for just wasting away the hours and you won’t even realise that you’ve spent the last 30 minutes flicking through 100 or so photos. Oh and there’s 3,700 photos on the site, so you might want to put some time aside for the sole purpose of wasting.
