One mother in the US certainly won’t be winning Mother of the Year after she attempted to sell her kids on Facebook… and nearly succeeded.
Misty VanHorn, a 22-year old mother of two from Sallisaw, Oklahoma, tried to sell her kids over the weekend on Facebook. Now, Facebook is used by a lot of companies that try their hardest to sell you their wares on the social media site, but trying to sell your kids for a couple of grand on it is just down right despicable.
According to the published police report, VanHorn offered her kids for money several different times on Facebook, offering the 10-month old girl for $1000, or both of them for $4000. And she nearly had a taker, according to theage.com.au.
One of her posts read: “Just come to Sallisaw, it’s only 30 minutes away and I’ll give you all of her stuff and let y’all have her forever for $1000.”
Apparently, she needed $1000 to bail her boyfriend out of jail. VanHorn is herself currently sitting behind bars while her kids are now in the custody of the state. Thankfully.
