Chris Wood holds a two shot lead going into the final round of the PGA Championship at Wentworth.
The Englishman carded a four under par 67 on Saturday and now stands at -8 overall, two shots clear of Robert Karlsson, who shot a course record 62 at the Surrey course.
Karlsson only flew into Wentworth on Saturday morning, having made his way towards his home in Monte Carlo the previous day when he thought that his three over par total wouldn’t be enough to make the cut.
The Swede had to hire a private jet to make the trip and only stepped off the plane at 6am, less than three hours before his allotted tee time. Remarkably, he then went on to shoot nine birdies on his way to the course record 62, which brought his overall total to -6.
Karlsson is joined on -6 by another Englishman, Danny Willett while Friday’s leader Luke Donald is a shot further back on -5.
Of the Irish contingent, Padraig Harrington is still in contention on -3 and Graeme McDowell is two shots further back on -1. Rory McIlroy is well off the pace on +3.
