Tiger Woods is creeping back to form as he shot a first-round 70, lying just four shots off the lead at two under par, at the Players Championship in Florida.
Woods missed the cut at Quail Hollow last week however the world number one has rekindled some form of old and is aiming to fend off the challenge of fellow American player Phil Mickelson.
The Masters Champion would knock Woods off the top spot if he were to win at Sawgrass and Woods would have to finish lower than fifth place.
Robert Allenby and JB Holmes lead the field on six-under.
Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington are both on one over par after the first round.
