World Cup drinks: Day 2

JOE wants you to taste the World Cup experience. Here are a few favourite tipples from some of today's competing nations.

JOE

Argentina have a 3pm kick-off with Nigeria and provided you don’t plan on necking South Korean soju from midday, then you should be in order to nip down to The Porterhouse for a few bottles of Quilmes.

One of Argentina’s favourite beers is available, amongst a large variety of other international beers, in any of the Porterhouse Brewing Company pubs in Bray, Temple Bar and Glasnevin, who stock the Argie beer at €5.20 a bottle.

This advert for Quilmes (below) has some of the best footage of Argentina teams in World Cups. Give a look.

By late evening you’ll be readying yourself for England v USA. Don your stars and stripes and keep drinking those five-euro-plus beers.

Samuel Adams is a delicious Boston brew and we want to hear you at the top of your voice come kick-off time…U-S-A U-S-A. You can pick up a crate of the stuff for about €45 from most O’Briens off licenses. You’ll be in top gear to hit the town after that.

Check out the tasty barmaid in this Sam Adams advert.
