We’ve seen our fair share of crazy creations in our time, but we haven’t seen anything quite like this concept ‘bicycle’ called the Fliz.
Bicycles with pneumatic tyres and diamond shaped frames have served us so well over the past century, so why change what isn’t broken?
That’s a question that obviously didn’t phase a group of lads from Germany who have gone right back to the drawing board to create something that looks like a mix of something from the early 19th century mixed with the ‘Flexi Grips’ machine that Mr Garrison built in South Park.

So what’s the point of this velocipede – which is just a fancy name for a man powered machine? Well, according to the Fliz website, “We created a velocipede concept of healthy, ecological mobility in overcrowded urban space.
“Its laminated, innovative frame with 5 point belt system provides a comfortable, ergonomic ride between running and biking.
“The frame integrates the rider and due to its construction it works both like a suspension and like a top carrier whereas the belt replaces the saddle and adjusts your position.”
As for a price, there isn’t one. It’s still just a concept – thankfully. Head over to the Fliz website here to learn more about it.
