As if paying for stuff wasn’t hard enough already, by January 2013 you’ll be paying 10c more for using a toll.
We’ve recently seen the price of fuel skyrocket and taxing a car has become an expensive task these days. However, the motoring burden continues as it will cost even more to use the toll roads by next year.
Okay, so it’s only 10c, but that still adds up if you have to use the toll twice or three times everyday of the year.
To make matters even worse, a report in the Irish Independent suggests that “many of the motorways, which are now tolled, should and could have been free had the money initially allocated for them by the EU and previous governments not been subsumed in withering contract price increases.”
So we shouldn’t even be paying in the first place? Sounds… typical.
Well there’s another thing to factor into your budget next year.
