Twitter King Stephen Fry was in Connemara filming his role in the TG4 soap opera Ros na Rún.
“Off to do some lobstering in Rossaveal. I shall lurch slightly on account of the six pints of Guinness hospitably poured down my throat,” he tweeted yesterday.
Later he made his way to TG4 for his role as Gaelige.
“In the Ros na Rún studio being made up for my Iriish speaking appearance. Eek, hope my accent isn’t too dire.”
After filming was over, Fry made his way to Dublin.
“In a Dublin pub talking about Joyce, Beckett and Wilde. If only I hadn’t got a bad case of flu I’d be the happiest man in the world.
“Filming done. Scrambling to get ready for evening as guest of Philosophical Soc at Trinity College here in Dublin. V excited but fluey.”
