Remember Christian Slater? He of the giant forehead and disappointing career trajectory? Well, despite what you may have read on Twitter – he’s NOT dead.
Following in the footsteps of Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler and Justin Bieber, Slater’s apparent demise became a hot Twitter trending topic, even though the True Romance star was perfectly healthy and unaware.
Slater’s publicist confirmed to the New York Daily News that the 41-year-old was in fact alive and well.
It is believed that much of the fake death claims that have dotted Twitter in recent months stem from spoof news site Global Associated News, though security experts have warned Twitter users not to click on any links contained in tweets referring to supposed celebrity death, believing they may be a source of viruses or malware.
