There is some huge news for Cork Airport this morning

Cork Airport's first transatlantic flight in 50 years

This is massive for the Rebel county.

You will be able to fly to the US from Cork as of next year.

For the first time in half a century, Cork Airport will operate flights to Boston, with Norweigian Air providing a service three times a week.

According to the Irish Examinerthe airport is expected to confirm the new venture early next week.

Talks of more flights to America are also rumoured, with Cork services to New York by 2017 being mentioned.
