Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations into the tragedy.
A man has died following a workplace accident in Waterford. It’s believed that he fell from a height while working at O’Brien Cement factory in Belview.
The incident occurred at 4pm this afternoon and while emergency services treated him at the scene – he was later pronounced dead.
A post mortem examination will be carried out at University Hospital Waterford.
