Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas took to Twitter after Arsene Wenger’s side held on for a 2-1 victory against Everton yesterday to move ahead of Manchester United in the standings.
Fabregas scored Arsenal’s second goal shortly after the break, with Bacary Sagna netting a rare goal that gave the visitors a first-half lead.
And shortly after the full-time whistle, Fabregas took to his social networking page to praise the Gunners who had made the trip from north London up to Merseyside.
‘Great support once again by the away fans. Keep it up Gunners!’ he wrote on Twitter.
‘Great victory. All the lads were fantastic.’
