Long may this continue.
The Monday morning blues may have dampened your enthusiasm but those nice people at Met Éireann have just the thing to pull you out of any post-weekend slump, lots and lots of sunshine.
While the Irish weather can be as trustworthy as a Man Utd statement saying that Louis Van Gaal’s future is safe, it’s very likely that this week will be giving us plenty of decent weather.

Monday will be mainly dry with sunny spells throughout the country, temperatures are expected to reach between 12 and 15 degrees. A few light showers are expected this afternoon in parts of Ulster and east Leinster but tonight will be dry with clear skies and calm conditions.
Tuesday will be a dry, fine day with sunny spells expected. In what could be the most Irish update ever, Met Éireann have stressed that there’s “good drying as easterly breezes set in. Temperatures as warm as 18 degrees inland or in the West, but closer to 14 or 15 degrees along exposed Eastern coasts”.
Your mam must be pleased with all of that good drying.

Wednesday will see a mix of cloudy and sunny conditions with a minor risk of patchy rain occurring, however, most areas will be staying dry.
Thursday will bring some showery rain to parts of Ireland but it is not expected to be heavy. Once again, we’re delighted to say that there’s set to be some sunny spells also. Temperatures around the mid teens with light variable breezes are predicted.
Here’s hoping that Friday’s weather is an indicator for the weekend ahead because temperatures will be in the high teens. Bruce Springsteen fans that are heading to Croke Park will be delighted if this stays true.
