The perfect news the beat the Monday blues.
This weekend may have been a bit of a downer at the Aviva but there was no denying that the majority of the country was baked in sunshine.
It even required some improvised hats at Pearse Stadium to block out the sun.
The good news is that the nice people at Met Eireann have informed us that these dry and sunny conditions are set to continue. Cue everyone making plans for the beer garden.
Those weather forecast lads are never wrong or vague.
Today will be dry in most areas, with some sunny spells in places, especially in the east and south. It seems that the west and northwest coasts will be raining on the parade to a small extent with light drizzle expected.
Tuesday, will be mainly dry, with some bright or sunny spells, especially in the east and southeast, but Atlantic coastal areas will remain dull and misty. The maximum temperatures s set to be between 16 to 22 Celsius.
Cover up in the sun because no one wants to look like this.

Wednesday is expected to be very much like today, dry in most places with some patches of drizzle. Fo shizzle. Warm and humid in the south and east, with max temperatures of 17 to 21 C, a little fresher in the north and west, with values of 14 to 17 C.
Thursday looks like this, Mainly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Max. 15 to 18 in the west and north, but 18 to 22 elsewhere.
We’re slightly wary of the weekend prediction but early indications suggest that there will still be a good deal of dry weather.
It’s only Monday and we’re planning ahead to next weekend. Standard.
Overall, a lot of dry weather for the rest of the week, with many areas seeing little or no rainfall. However, there will some small amounts of rain and drizzle, mainly in the west and north.
