There’s no denying that this country of ours is absolutely beautiful although it would be nice to see some of our incredible landscape baked in sun as opposed to drenched with rain.
We’re not complaining though and neither are the people of Lonely Planet who have just named Kerry as the second best place in Europe to spend some time with your family.
Kerry people will take pride in knowing that the prestigious magazine said that their county is ‘mysterious islands off a craggy coastline; mist-wreathed mountains and lakes; castles, abbeys and other ruins to explore… no wonder County Kerry appeals to the imagination of travellers of all ages.
Having spent quite a bit of time in Dingle and Killarney, I definitely agree with their choice.
