We’re not jealous at all.
Just like last week, a scorcher of a day has somewhat crept upon us today in a belated attempt to make up for the excuse of a summer we’ve endured so far.
Some are lucky enough to be out enjoying the sun and making those of us working indoors very jealous indeed.
Possibly inspired by the Blue Note pub in Galway, the Gift Corner in Ballinrobe have decided that rare sunny days like today are precious and are there to be enjoyed and with that in mind, have decided to take the day off.

There’s something to be said for creating special one-off national holidays for all-too-rare sunny days in this country; any party trying to implement in would get our vote in the next election.
