This is what the weather forecast is looking like for St. Patrick’s Day

Colm Boohig

We’ll take it.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, so the vast majority of you reading this are likely to either still be in bed or starting the festivities, but with all eyes on the parades up and down the country today, the weather forecast is very important indeed.

The good news is that it looks like it’s going to stay dry for the most part.

Met Éireann has reported that, while there will be a lot of cloud over parts of the country in the afternoon, especially in the southwest, the forecast is for dry, sunny spells throughout most the of the nation.

Temperatures will range from about 8 to 11 degrees during the day, and it will be especially cool enough around southern and eastern coasts.

As Paddy’s Day turns into Paddy’s Night make sure you wrap up if you’re still out and about, because it will get considerably colder and temperatures may drop as low as -1 in some parts.

Still though, it’s looking dry, so we’ll take it.
