There are many things that Steven Spielberg’s classic film E.T has taught me.
1) It’s possible for aliens to get drunk and binge on Skittles, 2) you can make an intergalactic telephone that’s able to communicate with distant planets from most household objects and 3) cycling through your local town at breakneck speed can be almighty craic.
JOE reader Stephen Nicholson sent us in this video of his friend Ciaran, trying to reenact the famous cycling finale in Spielberg’s classic.
It seems that Ciaran was out celebrating his 30th birthday and decided on an ’80s movie theme for the night. The lads definitely had a good night and they wanted the entire town of Tralee to know it.
Take a look as Ciaran cycles down Rock Street with a very famous passenger in his front basket. I wonder if he was able to phone home and cycle at the same time?
