We’d imagine it is mainly an Irish trait due to our own poor climate, but there does seem to be an obsession to know the weather at home, as well as the time, when we jet off on our holidays. Even if it is splitting the stones in foreign land.
Other issues such as the cheaper prices, the dread of taking a phone call for the fear of being crippled by roaming charges and the frustration of not being able to watch the football match anywhere are things many of us can relate to.
And the water is always “grand once ya get in”.
