The Glen Resource Centre facility should be up and running by the summer

Good news for skiing fans in the south of the country from today’s Irish Examiner. Cork City Council are to build an artificial ski slope at the Glen Resource Centre. With the help of €21,000 from Government coffers a 30 metre x 4 metre lope suitable for beginners will be built alongside the Centre’s other amenities.

The slope, which will be open all year round, has yet to announce a price structure to use the slope but the Centre will provide all the necessary equipment, so any visitors won’t have to buy all the gear to try it either.

It will be the only slope in Munster and is a fine addition to sports facilities in the province.
