Sweet Jesus.
Whenever we see snow falling elsewhere at this time of year, we can’t help but feel a little bit jealous, but we’re probably better off escaping the type of weather that has hit the area in and around the city of Buffalo in the state of New York this week.
Up to five and a half foot of snow has fallen in some places and there is apparently worse to come, with the possibility that the record for the heaviest snowfall on the mainland in the US in one 24-hour period (75.8 inches in Colorado in 1921) could be broken in the next few days.
Figures are all well and good but it’s from pictures that you get a real idea of what it must be like for residents in the area and they don’t come much more profound than this one…
