Very sad news.

The two men who died in a house fire in Macroom, Co Cork this Bank Holiday weekend have been named as Kenny Relihan and Noel O’Mahony.

According to Newstalk, Relihan was 26 years of age and O’Mahony was in his early sixties.

Another woman remains in a serious condition in Cork University Hospital, after jumping from an upstairs window to escape the blaze.

Gardaí and fire services were called out to the two-storey house at 4am on Monday morning. The deceased were pronounced dead at the scene.

The site has now been sealed off for a technical examination and an investigation is under way.
