The Clayton Silver Springs Hotel have issued a statement in regard to events that took place at the venue last night.

A Junior Cert party that took place in Cork last night is the source of much controversy this morning, with parents of Junior Cert students blasting organisers after hundreds were refused entry despite having tickets to the event.

According to Red FM, there were complications regarding the issuing of tickets online, which left hundreds of students stranded outside the Clayton Silver Springs Hotel in the city.

The hotel in question had nothing to do with the organising of the event, which was handled by Pineapple Entertainment and supposed to take place between 8pm and 11pm last night.

Red FM DJ Neil Prendeville tweeted earlier to say that the Red FM phones were hopping with complaints from parents this morning and he also indicated that there were incidents of unruly behaviour reported.

Red FM were unable to get in touch with the event promoter this morning, although the Clayton Silver Springs Hotel did issue a statement which you can read in full below…
