A huge turnout in Cork for the run last night…
More than 2,500 people ran through the streets of Cork last night as the whole community came out in force for Run In The Dark. The event was held to raise money for the Mark Pollock Trust, which aims to find a cure for spinal chord injuries.
There was a group of 368 legends representing “Team Jamie” on Leeside last night. They were the friends and family of Jamie Wall, the young Cork GAA star who is on the road to recovery from an extremely serious spinal injury.
The Kilbrittan man suffered an infection on spine which led to the dual player losing the power in his legs. However, Jamie’s positive attitude since has been absolutely inspiring as he continues his recovery at the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin.
Jamie showed some more of his amazing spirit last night as he took part in Run in the Dark and he posted this video on his Instagram account earlier.
