Video: These Wexford lads have just performed the world’s first GAA club Ice Bucket Challenge

Trust us, this is a good 'un...

Trust us, this is a good ‘un…

You’ve heard about this ice bucket thingymebobber, right? Well, it’s all for a great cause and here to stay so you might as well get used to it. One group of Irish lads have, with a bit of original thinking, put a twist on the various challenges splashing around the Internet at the minute, as they decided to get their entire GAA club involved.

JOE reader and GAA superstar of the future Shane Sinnott writes “we are a small GAA club in Wexford called St. Fintans and we took the ice bucket challenge last night after training. We are claiming to be the first GAA club to do it with nominating a local team from Wexford (Glynn Barntown GAA) as well as a team from Carlow (Mount Leinster Rangers). We are hoping to start a trend of GAA clubs taking the challenge and nominating other clubs around the country. Spread awareness of iMNDA and raise some money.”

Fair play lads, take it away…

Thanks to Shane for sending it in. Clip via Shane Sinnott.
